Part-time Assistant Softball Coach

A bachelor’s degree or relevant experience is required for the position. Previous college coaching and/or playing experience on the offensive side of the ball within the last five years is preferred. Experience with the Wing T offense is preferred. Knowledge of and conformity to NCAA rules is required.

Head Women’s Soccer Coach

The successful candidate will be responsible for fulfilling all duties associated with successful coaching at the college level. This includes organization and administration of the program, recruiting, scheduling, budget preparation and other associated responsibilities of West Chester University’s women’s soccer. Fund-raising and conducting camps for scholarships for the program are a major responsibility.

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required. Previous high school and/or college coaching experience in soccer and knowledge of and conformity to NCAA rules are required. Full-time coaching experience at the college level is preferred. Applicants must successfully complete the interview process to be considered as a finalist.

This is a full-time, entry-level, salaried, 12-month position with full benefits. The salary for this position is $35,000 (firm) with additional income possible by conducting mandatory summer camps.

Assistant/Associate Athletics Director For Compliance, Eligibility And Academic Support Services

Join a vibrant community whose excellence is reflected it its diversity and student success. West Chester University of Pennsylvania invites applications for the position of Assistant/Associate Athletics Director for Compliance, Eligibility and Academic Support Services.

The successful candidate will be expected to serve as compliance and eligibility coordinator for the 24 varsity sports (23 in Division II and 1 in Division I), coordinate and enhance the academic support program for student-athletes including supervision of academic monitors, academic awards and scholarships, administer the insurance and injury management area and coordinate selected game operations. A rules compliance education, drug/alcohol education and CHAMPS/Life Skills program will be expected to be maintained. The position would also seek to insure that there is equal opportunity in sports within the program and if qualified, the successful candidate may also serve as the Senior Women’s Administrator. Other related administrative assignments will be based on experience, expertise and departmental need.

A master’s degree in sports administration or related field; experience in athletics administration at the collegiate level (or at an organization with substantially similar responsibilities) and demonstrated experience in rules compliance and eligibility administration are required. A doctorate, and three years of collegiate athletics eligibility and compliance experience is preferred. Faculty rank and salary are commensurate with experience, based on nine months, with additional summer employment. Athletic Development Director (Manager 170)

Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the Athletic Development Director is responsible for initiating and implementing a comprehensive program of fund-raising activities in support of West Chester University Athletics. The Director is primary administrator to the Rams Athletic Association.

Responsibilities include identifying, cultivating and soliciting funding sources including major gifts for endowment and scholarships; coordination of special events during home athletics events; sponsorship, marketing and promotions; and coordination of Rams Athletic Association projects.

Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred, with at least two years experience in fund-raising, public relations or marketing and promotions, and an understanding of basic accounting principles. Excellent written, interpersonal and communication skills as demonstrated in an interview, as well as thorough knowledge of intercollegiate athletics is required. Basic knowledge of Adobe Pagination Software preferred. Regular physical exertion, walking and exposure to weather are required.

West Chester fields 23 men’s and women’s athletic teams at the NCAA Division II level and one at the NCAA Division I level.
